Here’s what you need to know to be able to receive a referral bonus, which comes as a statement credit:
- To participate in the referral program, your Capital One account(s) must be open and in good standing.
- If you have already reached the maximum bonus amount, you can still refer other businesses, but you will not receive a bonus.
- We may be required to send to you, and file with the IRS, a Form 1099-MISC (miscellaneous income). Please consult with your tax advisor if you have any questions.
- Businesses you refer must apply through your personal referral link and be approved for a Capital One Business credit or charge card.
- You are able to refer businesses at any time. However, referral bonus amounts are individual offers which are only available for a limited time.
- Businesses you refer must be new Capital One Business credit or charge card customers and cannot already have any Capital One Business credit or charge card accounts.
- The referral offers you send to other businesses must be valid when they apply. If your link is no longer valid, you will not get a referral bonus.
- For account holders participating in the referral program through an eligible cash back or miles rewards card, the maximum bonus you can receive in a calendar year is $7,500. In the event the bonus you earn from this referral program exceeds $7,500 per calendar year, the bonus awarded may be a partial amount to keep your total bonus for the calendar year at $7,500.
- Referral bonus amount and/or card product promotions may be subject to change.
- Capital One call center employees, Capital One Relationship Managers, or employees of Capital One Bank locations are not eligible to participate in this referral program.
By participating in the referral program, you are telling other businesses that you are a Capital One customer. Please allow up to 8 weeks to see the statement credit on your account after each referral is approved. We reserve the right to alter, change, or terminate the referral program at any time. Qualification for the referral program is determined at our sole discretion and may change at any time. We reserve the right to disqualify any account holder from participation in the referral program in the event of fraud, abuse of program privileges, or violation of the Terms as determined at our discretion. Such termination may result in the forfeiture of any accumulated referral bonuses. Account closure or suspension may result in the loss of any referral bonuses that haven’t been applied to your account yet. We reserve the right to delay or not enforce any of our rights under the referral program without waiving or losing our right to enforce them later.
